Finances are a significant, but not only, barrier to post-secondary studies faced by people raised in care. IBT College, working with Ontario’s Child Welfare PAC, is the first career college to offer a tuition bursary for former or current youth in the care of child welfare. The waiver is valued at the total amount of tuition fees.
Must have been in child welfare for a minimum of one year.
Must complete an IBT application for your program of interest and submit all required documentation to the admission office at IBT College (including the Verification of Status with Ontario Children’s Aid Society form).
Must submit application prior to the start of studies.

Once your IBT application has been submitted, you will be required to provide the following documents:
Verification of Status with Ontario Children’s Aid Society form; or confirmation of status from child welfare agency
High school diploma or completion of college entrance test.
