Knowing what the requirements are to become a flight attendant is an essential step before applying for jobs. Once you have all the necessary qualifications, getting the job will be a matter of submitting an online application and being called for the first interview. Are you interested? If so, see below what you should start to work on in order to succeed:

Earn a Diploma

You should hold a high school certification and have few extra qualifications. A College Diploma in the Travel and Tourism field, for instance, will be very beneficial to you.

Have a Canadian passport

If you are a Canadian citizen, you can apply by mail or in person at Service Canada. Check this link for more information: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/passport/apply/new/apply-how.asp

Learn a new language

If you are newcomer that recently received your Canadian passport you must make sure that you master either English or French, or preferably both. However, if one of those languages is your mother tongue you should think about starting to learn a new language such as Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, Turkish or Arabic. There are so many options, right?

Make sure you are in good physical health

Since flight attendants are required to physically assist passengers and lift luggage, to endure the nature of the job you must be ready to meet a few healthy requirements. We will talk more about all of them in next blog, so make sure to check this page or follow us on social media: https://www.facebook.com/pg/IBTCollegeCanada/posts/?ref=page_internal
