IBT College is authorized by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) to accept and enroll international students.
All college programs are ministry approved and are a recognized full-time diploma program.
English Level - test and scores/bands
I am an International Student.
I am a Canadian Citizen / Permanent Resident
After submitting my documents, I will wait for the contact of the Admissions Team with specific information of my program, with the answer for my queries and with the next steps for my Enrollment process.
My documents are in a review process now. If I am approved I'll receive a pre-approval letter from the College with important information about my program. I need to double check it all, sign, date and proceed with the confirmation of my Enrollment in the next week or so, always keeping in touch with my Admissions Adviser.
To confirm my enrollment at IBT College and receive my documents to apply for my study visa and work permit I will need to proceed with a deposit of CAD$500, required to reserve my seat and to confirm my commitment.
I will then receive my official Letter of Acceptance, Co-Op letter, and receipt (these are the documents required to attain a student visa from the Canadian Embassy).
Once I have my VISA approved by the government, I have to confirm it to the Admissions Adviser and double check my start date with the college.
I have to buy a health insurance and I'll organize my flight to Toronto. I'll visit the college to sign the contract and organize the plan of payment for my tuition.
After my enrollment is confirmed: I need to be approved in a FREE Assessment Test that I'll take in the college before my classes start.
One week before classes start you will receive the official Welcome e-mail. I need to answer that email to confirm I am all set for the first day of classes. In the first day of classes I'll receive my schedule/time-table.
Visa and Study Permit Requirement
All IBT College students must possess a valid Student Visa and Work-Permit that allows them to enter and study in Canada. For programs that are greater than 6 months in duration, students must have a valid Student Visa. For more information regarding VISA application or requirements, speak to the Canadian Embassy in your home country or visit the Citizenship and Immigration Canada website: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/index.asp.
Prior to starting the program, students must present their actual passport and VISA approval to be viewed by IBT College.
Health Insurance Requirements
As government funded healthcare is not provided to international students in Canada, health insurance coverage is mandatory for international students.
Health insurance coverage is not provided directly by IBT College. Students are responsible for purchasing their own health insurance coverage.
