Important note: You must be 18 years of age or older to apply for a program at IBT College Business Travel and Tourism Technology .

  1. Application form filled out. Click on the button below.
  2. Copy of passport (page with photo and date of birth).
  3. Proof of English proficiency. Depending where you are from you may be exempt from presenting any English test.
  4. Successful completion of Admission Test administered by IBT College Business Travel and Tourism Technology

We will analyze the supporting documents mentioned on Step 1, and if everything is in order,  you will receive a pre-acceptance letter (PAL) within 2 business days.

The PAL will contain specific instructions on how to complete your registration process so that we can issue and acceptance package.

After paying the registration fee and completing the steps described on your PAL, you should wait within 2 business days to receive your acceptance package.

The acceptance package contains the documents you will need to add to the study permit application you will send to Immigration Canada. The documents included in your package are:

  • Official Letter of Acceptance.
  • Co-op Letter (if applicable).
  • Proof of payment (regarding the registration fee).
  • ESL Pathway Acceptance Letter (if applicable)

Upon confirmation of the approval of your study permit, you will receive an invitation to meet with our Student Services Coordinator to sign your enrollment contract.

On that session, you will be required to submit the following:

  • Student and work permit – VISA
  • Valid medical insurance.

Government Scholarships

Through IBT’s affiliation to EduCanada, our college grants the international students of some specific countries the possibility to access the scholarships offered by the Canadian Ministry of Education to outstanding students from South America, the Caribbean countries and South Asia.

It should be noted that the offer of these scholarships is available only for active students of post secondary level whose educational institutions hold an agreement with IBT College Business Travel and Tourism Technology.

Domestic Students

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalency.
  • Official ID
  • If you don’t have an OSSD but are 19 years of age or older, you may be eligible to apply as a mature applicant by taking an admission test at the campus.

The Ontario Government’s Better Jobs Grant is designed to help people who may face challenges finding stable jobs such as gig workers, youth and people on social assistance. If you have been unemployed for six months or longer, and are part of a low-income household, you may benefit from this grant.

Better Jobs Ontario provides eligible applicants with:

  • skills training for in-demand jobs
  • financial support

You can apply for up to $28,000 for costs, including:

  • tuition
  • books
  • other instructional costs, including student fees, supplies and electronic devices
  • transportation
  • basic living allowance (up to $500 per week)

Additional funding may be available for:

  • childcare
  • disability-related supports
  • living away from home
  • Literacy and Basic Skills (LBS) and/or language training

Length of training programs

Better Jobs Ontario aims to help you rejoin the workforce quickly. That’s why the program focuses on training programs that take 52 weeks or less to complete, including micro-credential programs.

Eligibility

You qualify for Better Jobs Ontario if you either:

  • have been laid-off and have not been working or are working a temporary job just to cover costs
  • have not been laid-off but have been unemployed for six months or longer and are part of a low-income household
  • international students do not qualify 

You can still apply if you receive either:

  • Employment Insurance (EI)
  • Ontario Works (OW)
  • Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP)

Laid-off due to COVID-19

While the Better Jobs Ontario program is open to unemployed jobseekers, a fast-track stream is available if you were laid-off because of COVID-19 and want to retrain for jobs in sectors that have potential for future employment.

If your application meets all the following criteria, you will go through a faster approval process, giving you access to training sooner:

  • You were laid-off on or after March 1, 2020.
  • You have a high school education or less, you were laid-off from an occupation requiring no more than a high school education and job-specific training, such as food and beverage servers, flight attendants and retail salespersons.
  • You were laid-off from an industry hit hard by the pandemic, such as hospitality and food services, transportation and warehousing or wholesale and retail trade.
  • You want to train for a career in demand in a local community or provincial priority area.

Windmill Microlending is a Canadian charity offering affordable loans to immigrants and refugees to help them pay for the costs of education, training, accreditation, certification, designation, language and professional development courses in Canada. No Canadian credit history required.

What is a microloan?

A microloan is a loan of a smaller amount offered to individuals without or with limited Canadian credit history. A microloan from Windmill Microlending, of up to $15,000 (Canadian dollars), can be used to pay for things like tuition fees, qualifying exam costs, text books, professional association fees, costs associated with licensing or accreditation, supplies and living expenses while you  study.

Who is eligible for a Windmill microloan?

To be eligible for a Windmill loan, you must be an immigrant and an internationally-trained individual living in Canada on a permanent status. Internationally-trained individuals must have completed post-secondary education outside of Canada and/or have a minimum of one year of post-secondary work experience before coming to Canada.

Whether you intend to work in the same field you trained in outside of Canada, or you wish to apply your transferable skills to a new career, you must demonstrate that you have a Career Success Plan that requires funding.  You must not have an undischarged bankruptcy or a consumer proposal that has been active for less than 6 months. English Requirements

Applicants can submit a copy of certificate of any of the following international standard tests.

  • IELTS
  • TOEFL
  • CESOL
  • TOEIC
  • PTE
  • CELPIP
  • CEFR

If an applicant has not taken any of the above, there are two alternatives that can be taken as substitute:

a) Copy of diploma or transcript of completion of English based university degree from home country (not applicable for some countries).

b) Berlitz Assessment: In partnership with Berlitz Canada, IBT College is offering a free online English assessment. To know more about it send a message to our international student advisor at info@ibtcollege.com

Pay Enrollment Deposit

Have you received your Pre-Acceptance Letter? If you have already completed the application stage and you have received a Pre-Acceptance Letter (PAL), you are one step away from being fully registered at our college.

The next step for you is to make your deposit payment. Remember, IBT College does not charge registration fee. The deposit we’re asking you to make will be deducted from the total cost of your tuition once you start your program.
